Why dining chairs get so dirty

Dining chairs collect stains faster than any other furniture: curry, soy sauce, oil, milk, kids’ snacks, and the grease from hands and clothes at every meal. In Singapore’s humidity, food residue in the foam starts to smell, and light fabrics turn grey around the edges and backrest. Wiping only spreads it. Hot-water extraction pulls it out.

What we clean

  • Fabric and linen-look upholstered seats and backs
  • Velvet dining chairs, using low-moisture methods to protect the pile
  • Leather and faux-leather seats, cleaned and conditioned
  • Bench seats and banquettes
  • Restaurant, cafe and hotel dining chairs, with bulk and after-hours options

Our process

  1. Vacuum the seams, piping and under the seat.
  2. Pre-treat food, grease and drink stains.
  3. Hot-water extraction (fabric), or clean and condition (leather).
  4. Deodorise and dry. Most chairs are usable within a few hours.

Prices

Dining chairs are priced per chair, with better rates for sets of 4, 6 or 8 and when you add them to a sofa clean. WhatsApp us a photo and the number of chairs for a fixed quote.

For restaurants and cafes

We clean dining chairs and banquettes outside opening hours, so service isn’t disrupted. Regular schedules (quarterly or half-yearly) keep seating hygienic and presentable for customers.

Common dining chair stains and what to expect

  • Curry, chilli oil and sauces usually come out or fade greatly when they’re treated as grease first.
  • Coffee and tea usually come out fully if they’re not years old.
  • Milk and baby food come out, and odour treatment stops the sour smell.
  • Dark rings on light fabric are often old water marks, which we even out by cleaning the whole seat.

Keep dining chairs cleaner for longer

  • Wipe crumbs off seats after meals rather than letting them get ground in.
  • Use washable seat cushions or covers for young children.
  • Ask about a fabric protector after cleaning, so future spills bead up.
  • Schedule a clean every 6 to 12 months, or every 3 to 6 months for restaurant and cafe chairs.
