What we clean

Whether you call it a sofa, couch or settee, the process is the same: we deep clean the fabric and the foam underneath, not just the surface. Couch cleaning prices follow the same seat-based pricing above.

  • Fabric sofas: cotton, linen, polyester, microfibre and blends
  • Velvet and suede-look fabrics, with low-moisture methods so the pile isn’t crushed
  • L-shaped, sectional and recliner sofas, including removable and fixed cushions
  • Leather and faux leather, cleaned and conditioned
  • Armchairs, ottomans, dining chairs and bay window cushions, which we can add on to the same visit (see upholstery cleaning)

How our sofa deep cleaning works

Sofa deep cleaning goes by a few names in Singapore: sofa washing, sofa shampooing or upholstery steam cleaning. Whatever you call it, the goal is the same: get the dirt out of the fabric and foam, not just off the surface. Here’s how we do it:

  1. Inspect and test. We check the fabric care code (W, S, SW or X) and test the cleaner on a hidden spot.
  2. Dry vacuum. We remove crumbs, hair, sand and loose dust from the surface, the seams and under the cushions.
  3. Pre-treat. Stains, armrests and headrests get a fabric-safe pre-spray to break down oils and grime.
  4. Hot-water extraction or steam. We flush the fibres and pull the dirty water straight back out, so dirt leaves the sofa instead of sinking into the foam.
  5. Deodorise and sanitise. We treat odours and bacteria. This is especially useful for pet and urine smells.
  6. Groom and dry. We brush the pile back into place and set up airflow. Most sofas are dry in 4 to 6 hours in a ventilated room.

Have a velvet sofa? See velvet sofa cleaning, which uses pile-safe, low-moisture methods.

Problems we fix

Urine and pet odour

Pet and child urine soaks through the fabric into the foam, which is why a smell comes back after you wipe the surface. We use an enzyme treatment and extraction to break down the source, not just mask it. Let us know about urine when you book, so we bring the right treatment. More on urine and odour removal.

Mould and musty smells

Singapore’s humidity lets mildew grow in sofas that are rarely aired, especially near windows and in closed-up rental units. Deep cleaning removes surface mould spores and the musty smell. Spots that have stained deep into the fabric may lighten but not fully disappear. More on sofa mould removal.

Food, drink and everyday grime

Coffee, milk tea, curry, wine and the grey film on armrests and headrests usually come out in one clean. Old or set-in stains may lighten rather than vanish. We’ll tell you honestly during the inspection what to expect.

Sofa cleaning FAQ

How much does sofa cleaning cost in Singapore?

With us, a 2-seater fabric sofa starts from $80, a 3-seater from $120 and an L-shaped sofa from $150. Heavy stains, urine treatment and leather conditioning can add to the price. We confirm a fixed price on WhatsApp before the job.

How long does it take for the sofa to dry?

Usually 4 to 6 hours with good airflow. Thick cushions, velvet, or a humid closed room can take longer. A fan or aircon speeds it up.

How often should I get my sofa cleaned?

Every 6 to 12 months for most homes in Singapore. Every 3 to 6 months if you have pets or young kids, or if anyone has dust mite allergies. More on sofa cleaning frequency.

Can every stain be removed?

Most everyday stains come out. Old stains, dye transfer, bleach marks and some inks can be permanent. We’ll tell you during the inspection, before we start.

Is it safe for kids and pets?

Yes. We use fabric-safe cleaners and extract the residue rather than leaving it in the sofa. Once the sofa is dry, kids and pets can use it as normal.

Do you clean mattresses too?

Yes. Many customers add mattress cleaning or curtain cleaning to the same visit.
